Mummy baby groups in Barcelona

Three and a half months after having my baby, I think I have discovered a good number of expat mummy baby groups in Barcelona. I´ll list them here for the benefit of other new mommies that are looking to make contact and share :

Mondays

Between 12 and 3pm there is a group that meet up at a shop called MUJER in Barrio Gotic, the Monday group is best for mums with small babies, if your baby can crawl best come to the Wednesday group.

Tuesdays

At around 11am there is a group that meet up in different locations around the city to go for a “stroll” and a chat. Sign up through Barcelona Tots google group, to find out when their next outing is .

From 4-5pm there is a Music group at the Centre Civic Parc Sandaru (near estacio nord) this is also organised by Barcelona Tots.

Wednesdays

Again you can go to MUJER from 12-3pm.

If  it is a sunny afternoon, there is a group who meet up in Parc Ciutadella during the summer at about 4.30pm.

Groups organised by your CAP

I also go to a free baby massage group offered at my CAP (Valldoreix) if your Spanish/Catalan are any good, I encourage you to find out from your midwife of any groups they have on offer. I love going to the massage group, not only is it nice for Lucia, but it gives me a chance to interact with the Catalan Mummies and get a little more integrated. :)

Well, it is a little early week heavy, but there are often other events taking place, if you hang out with some of these groups I’m sure you’ll find out about them. Also make sure to subscribe to their RSS or Email updates where available.

If you know of any other groups, I’d love to hear about them, please do share in the comments section.

Don’t read funny blogs whilst putting your baby to sleep

I often sneak a peak at Google Reader on my iPhone whilst hushing baby to sleep at night. I was reading  this post about wine tasting and nearly laughed out loud totally ruinning all my hard work. Holding in a laugh makes it last so much longer than just letting it out.

What is a browser?

Some times what we assume is common knowledge is not at all. It is not rare that when I ask a client what browser they’re viewing the website on I’m met by a moment of thought and then the inevitable question, how do I find that out? More
